Using a seaside evening scene in Shonan in winter as a subject, the artist depicts the beauty of the original Japanese landscape, which has remained unchanged throughout the rapid development and growth of human society, in his unique pointillistic style.
About the Technique
Influenced by the pointillism technique advocated by Seurat in the 1880s. He began his self-taught pointillism because he was attracted to the intellectual, cold, and mechanical expression that once seen, leaves an unforgettable impression. He juxtaposes acrylic painting materials on the canvas in dots with a fine brush tip without mixing colors, and mixes the colors on the viewer's retina, aiming for an expression in which the work is completed in the viewer's visual perception. I try to express black (shadow) without using black and (light) without using white.
