Born in Tokyo in 1962. Completed the doctoral program of the Graduate School of Fine Arts at Tokyo University of the Arts in 1993. In 1996, he founded the Hiropon Factory, a studio for the production of artworks, which was incorporated as a limited liability company "Kaikai Kiki" in 2001.
