After graduating from high school, he studied abroad in Ireland. In 2011, he stayed at ISCP in New York under the artist residency program. His solo presentations at art fairs such as Art Basel Miami and FIAC attracted a great deal of attention, and he has a wide range of fans.

After graduating from university, he was based in Dublin and exhibited his works, but moved his studio to Kyoto in 2018 for a limited period of one year. In addition to the influence of 17th century Dutch painting, which had been his spiritual foundation, a new expression blossomed as he turned his attention to the four seasons of flowers in the eaves of Kyoto's machiya houses from the perspective of painters such as Rimpa and Jakuchu. The series of paintings of objects arranged on a table, which he began around 2016, has developed into a more mature body of work that harmonizes Japanese elements with the aesthetics of traditional Western still life painting.

Biography

The charm of his work is the presence of the hybrid characters born from Irish and Japanese cultures. The seemingly cute and fluffy bunnies are not simply cute, but have a slightly dark and surrealistic feel that transcends national borders and has gained the support of many fans.
