My work takes shape of paintings built in volume, colored sculptures, or collages of tridimensional forms. I want to give it a form, to objectify the complexity of thought. For this, I invent buildings and assemblages of shapes in trying to make visible original relations and connections.
I have to involve myself physically in this work, so I do it by myself. DIY allows me to consider the fundamental imprecision of my hand, creating mistakes that I accept and affirm. DIY is a way to regain control of my activity and it gives me the courage to become autonomous, it means to make laws oneself.
Formally, there are these shapes I call. These recognizable shapes I split, shapes I cut and I gather. And these colors I discover and with which I drape them as a protective layer. And these materials I use because of their proximity and easiness, humble.
In gathering these différent elements, I'm looking at these forms to create communities of objects. Communities of objects are not a group under the influence, but a community accepting the contrary, the paradoxes, and dissonances. This community of objects is a community of equals, gathered at one point. And it is found every time. These communities seek by the confusion, a mirror image of the complexity of the world.
I make my work in a movement of excitement and precipitation. In the end, I want the viewer to be immersed in these sculptures as it is in the world. And I want it engages in it and the sculpture to be an ambulatory.
I want to be surprised by my work, by the form it takes, by the links that weave in its womb and inevitably with the world. What matters most is seeing, doing and seeing, and then being surprised.
