Ting Zhen is a stone crafter from Hong Kong. She started Soapstone Studio to promote stone art after learning stone crafting in Switzerland. Her works are deeply influenced by ancient Chinese literature and tea culture, showing the oriental aesthetic view of the nature world. Most of her work could be part of a tea ceremony. The gradient change of stone texture is interactive with human touch and time which marks the true completion of work.
Her work had been exhibited or sold in HK, Macau, Taipei, Tokyo and Beijing. She was invited to be part of the ONTARIO150 in 2017 and now she is participating artist residence in NTAV(Taipei).
