Concept

Ayako creates calligraphic artworks that combine flexible and sharp lines with the element of the classics. Her style is elegant and elaborate because it is not just “wanna-be” calligraphy but it is based on the solid foundation of learning the classics for years. It is said that the art of calligraphy is rather incomprehensible. However, she believes that it should be able to touch people’s hearts when it is created with a certain mixture of playfulness and solid technics. She strives to achieve such art. She does not stop at being ordinary good but continues to explore and express her own personality through art.
