Concept

Being an engineer is being well-structured. This fact leaves mark on Renat's art: the characteristic features are creating textures & patterns and working with shadows through the lines. The optical illusion, made by using these techniques, allows to feel volume, movement, detailng.

An engineering profession gave me a special path to follow in art. I prefer to create texture, patterns and calligraphy, and nowadays the new technique in use is making portrets by lines with a distance vision effect, which can be witnessed on "Ares" or "IvanTheTerrible".

I work with acrylic/oil paint by brushes or markers and spray paint on canvases or primed cardboards. Some canvases were fired with spray can for a natural burnt effect ("Ares" or "Revival"). Besides, I experiment with cars/interior painting and 3D printing ("Graffititryoshka").

My artist biography started since 2017. It was a time when I started making commercial digital art, but with time I came to understanding that digital art is not "true".
And then I met street art in Berlin during my study in Germany. My canvases were opened to the public at the end of 2021 at the gathering of local graffity artists community. It gave me an impulse for exploring the new artist gallery world.

The first exhibition experience happened in 2021 in a local cafe at graffiti artist festival. The event was organized by the international artist Bozik.
The next one was a personal exhibition in a tea room in the start of 2022, organized by myself.
The next personal exhibition was opened in a modern art gallery, organized in cooperationwith the administration of the gallery.
The last exhibition I took part in was a part of the national modern art festival "Nur" in August, 2022. The exhibition was organized by the administration of the one commercial gallery within the festival. The invited artists presented the works realted to the topic "Experience of the year" (it was a hidden topic about madness of the war, like a protest). I created the diptych "Think twice" depicting the map where you can notice borders made by words and offensive lines made by letter. I took the risk, since the festival was sponsored by the government, but the art can speak out loud without voice.
The next step was a contract with a local offline gallery which found me after the festival. The "Themis" series was chosen to be added to their catalogue.
