Photograph taken in the fishing port of Santurtzi, Spain, in 2019.
The idea behind the title is related to my style of photographing reflections, keeping in mind other photographers who also photograph reflections in the water. Sometimes something leads us to compare ourselves with those who we think are related to us, and then we decide to reaffirm ourselves more in our position or our path. And sometimes we are no longer the same as we were before that exchange of glances or ideas. This photograph was taken by capturing the image originating on the surface of the sea using photographic techniques without computer-generated alterations, with only minimal adjustments. Only minimal adjustments have been applied. Printed on the highest quality paper, museum quality with high resistance to aging.

Concept

I feel a natural tendency towards abstractions, and I am especially attracted to reflections on the surface of the sea, free from any reference to reality. These reflections, free of any reference to reality, allow me to express a liberation from the routine, the conventional, and at the same time share a journey into a parallel universe where imagination reaches further than vision. Also with these photographs I try to merge the photographic medium with results similar to painting. They are photographs with the appearance of paintings trying to free photographic art from an imitation of reality. However, my photographic captures paradoxically record another reality (a distorted, unrecognizable reality): they are distorted images floating on the surface of the sea. For this I use exclusively photographic techniques and post-processing is limited to minimal adjustments. This tendency towards abstraction does not prevent me from enjoying other more realistic subjects, although looking for a different reading of what is represented.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
