    Description

the intention behind this piece was to represent energy, gravity, and the strong and weak nuclear force. Choosing warm and earth colors I wanted to represent the ongoing change of energy, then adding gold to represent a burst of spirit splashing through. I also wanted to challenge the element of gravity with every stroke of brush that abstracted energy waves of the spirit.
As I did my research on Flux I found a lot of inspiration, I found many abstract pieces that stood out to me and I combined what I liked and created this painting.
I also used gold leaf for the first time, it was fun working wild gold leaf, but I didn’t expect the leaf to be so thin.
My artwork fits in surrealism/ abstract, this is a different painting for me I have never used any of these techniques before. I learned something new with every brushstroke and I let my subconscious play.

    Concept

I am Humber college Alumni, Humber is one of the best colleges in Ontario. I graduated from College in 2017 and decided to continue my journey at OCAD university, one of the most known Art Schools in Toronto. as a 26 year old young artist, I'm still learning something new everyday, I thrive to make better art and to grow as an artist. in the future i plan to take my masters at University of Toronto. i hope to travel the world, and to learn new techniques and styles to be a better artist and creator.

I have been learning and making art ever since I was a child. art has taught me to become a more empathetic human being. it taught me self perveance and self- awareness. as a student everyday is a new journey for me, everyday I learn something new and I apply it to my practice. in my educational journey i found a lot of new things about my self: I learned to be more open to other cultures and traditions, to be more patient with my self as i work, and finally the process in which I create made me a wiser artist and person.
