Salete Lottermann is a Brazilian visual artist and uses different materials in his creations, but
the main artistic modality he uses to create his sculptures is ceramics.
The artist builds her female characters, so that she can, through them, dialogue about issues that are common to all women, such as personal and professional fulfillment, motherhood, prejudice, pain.
Her dresses also provoke questions that complement this look, passing through desires, dreams and even domestic violence.
Through ceramics, she brings the energy of the earth element as a force to express feelings, emotions, stories of a life that goes beyond herself, drawing a parallel through the women of yore and the experiences of young women in the present.

I was born in Marechal Candido Rondon, Paraná, 1965. I have always wanted to study art, so in 1984 I moved to Curitiba where I worked and studied. In 1985 I started painting at the School of Fine Arts and began to participate in art exhibitions and salons.
My experiences in public schools and libraries allowed me to expand my view of the female universe, its difficulties and anxieties. My personal experience and examples of strong women in my own family are reflected in my artistic research.
In 2017 I started sculpting fairies in wire and, later, I discovered ceramics. Today it is through the clay that I build my characters and dresses to talk about issues such as motherhood, desires, personal fulfillment, profession, violence, pain, prejudice and others, common especially to the female world, but pertinent to everyone.
In 2020 I returned to my hometown and here I live and work seeking new experiences and different perspectives on these issues.
