Lina's playful form of works represents the diversity of issues as a Woman of colour, in the feminist social society, in which a finely selected spectrum of cultural, and spiritual-religious allusions - from the change to the new age of Aquarius, the gender role distribution of the 21st century and the journey of creative expression, in search of the purpose of identity, fullness and purpose of being an artist.

Tong Sao Ling's past projects include textiles translated into clothing, furniture pieces and everyday objects that expand in the last decade to collaborate with the German Opera and the theatre.

Works on paper with watercolour, or executed pencil drawings and photography.
An important core element and power resource is spirituality depicted in the works as the intangible, blurred lights and auras of the divine.

Already as an adolescent young lady, the hierarchies in the everyday situation make themselves feel and rebelled early against authority, uniformity, capitalism, everything that does not belong to the norm is lived out with enthusiasm, which in early adulthood is shown by the first collection from 2015 in the form of gender studies.

Born in 1991 in Konstanz on Lake Constance with Chinese-Malaysian roots, while in Berlin the wall was falling, confronted with the cultural structures of southern Germany, Ling starts as a toddler with piano and ballet. Music and dance is constant companion. In 2015, Ling graduates from the International School of Art for Fashion with a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion as a stylist/model and celebrates the first success while studying as a designer for Expo Milan 2014.
Currently, Tong Sao Ling Chen discovers the film industry and processes in form on paper and watercolour.
