I am an emerging artist living and working in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
I graduated at the University of Art and Deisgn in Cluj-Napoca, in the Painting Department, and have continued my artistic education even after getting my Master's Degree in 2015, by taking part at three art coursesat the Summer Academy Courses in Sazlburg , Austria, in the years 2016, 2017 and 2019.
In 2017 I was shorlisted among the semi-finalists of the Arte Laguna Prize
After having gone through mainly oil painting in my student years, lately I grew interested in graphics, especially intaglio printmaking and silkscreen.
In march 2020 I took part in a collective exhibition of women artists called "Sense and sensibility", which took place at the Brukenthal Museum in Sibiu, Romania with a silkscreen print entitled "Susupension", a detail from a sicilian marionette whose finger hangs by a thread, recalling the fragile condition of a puppet hung by the pupeteer's wire; a "meta-object"so to say, that comes to life when manipulated by the right hands and falls back into numbness when not. A metaphor for the human condition, if you like it.
