Description

"Marilyn, NYC" is one of my original oil on canvas with gold and in acrylic paste paintings, 100x80 cm. I wanted to portray Marilyn Monroe relaxed and happy with NYC skyline as a background as this was her favourite city and the place she would have loved to retire, eventually.
Her necklace is made in gold leaf while the urban graffiti background wall is textured in acrylic paste. The graffiti read some extract of a Marilyn's interview in which she was taking about New York.
Ready to hang, the edges are painted and it is signed on its back.
It comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Concept

I am a self-taught artist, initially naturally hyperrealistic. Recently, I have felt the need of expressing myself in a more immediate way. Therefore, I am now working on figurative oil painting enriched with gold leaf and various texture materials. At first working on portraits, I am now starting a more satisfying approach to them, by adding some dreamlike and even quite surreal touch.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
