Regeneration. And maintenance.
The antelope is like a totem for me, and has been in my life since I was a child. I felt a sense of awe when I saw them running up steep slopes, snorting and threatening.
I used Vishnu, the god of maintenance, as my motif. I added my totem antelope and my hometown, the Emishi, an indigenous tribe in the northern Tohoku region of Japan, as motifs for this work.
