Description

This work was created using gel medium and oil paint in addition to the basic Japanese painting mediums of mizu-hi-e and iwa-e (mineral pigments). It is difficult to see in the photo, but in person, the surface is bumpy and you can see the matiere, which is quite characteristic for Japanese painting. Oil paints are used for the base, and the pigments are mixed with gel medium, so the colors are quite good.

Concept

I have been exposed to Japanese painting since I was in high school, and I chose the Japanese painting course at university because I wanted to learn more about it.
I am still very immature as a painter, and I am sure that my style and way of thinking will change rapidly in the future. However, my desire to create "good" and "interesting" objects and to "express myself through painting" will never change. Through the motifs, we hope to have a dialogue with visitors who do not know where they were born or what their names are. I also want to establish a new stance in Japanese painting.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
