The canvas for painting was sewn in my author's technique from scraps of thin cotton fabric, folds and holes were created. Author's signature on the back: Bilman MMXIX
The canvas has now been removed from a stretcher, it is supposed to exhibit the work with and without a stretcher.
We see forest spirits playing hide and seek among fragments of the sky, fields, hills. A person wants to pick the cherished flower, but mystical horror does not allow him to do it. He feels completely defenseless.
A blooming fern is talking about the otherworldly by the fire, awe of the greatness of nature, belief in a fairy tale hidden from our eyes. I have always been inspired by the legend that every year, on a certain night, a fern blooms somewhere.
