There is a perception that folk paintings are 'old paintings'. These days, there are many routes that can be easily accessed without a major, but they are not as popular as contemporary painting.
The feeling of disparity with the present age that I felt when I first saw traditional folk paintings is not forgotten. However, the longer I watched and painted folk paintings, the more I felt comfortable.
It was also new to interpret and combine the good meaning of folk painting materials. Especially the straight line of the bookshelf and character The geometric pattern design attracted attention because it was delicate and colorful.
The delicate and soft feeling of traditional paints contained in Korean paper relieved the tension of everyday life.

Folk paintings aimed at 'practical' should be used in everyday life.
My work direction is to realize the harmony of beautiful folk paintings even in modern times. I think that creation that adds an independent sense to form and color while keeping the traditional meaning of folk paintings is meaningful.
Folk paintings can be expressed very sensibly with the elegant colors of Korean painting paints. Creative folktales can be reinterpreted in different ways in terms of color and expressiveness.
