Concept

I make bumpy swirls on the canvas with modeling paste and paint animals and smiling girls that mean happiness on top of the swirls. Life is made up of many different kinds of edges that swirl around in a bumpy spiral. Painful things, hard things, things I cried about, things I did my best to do. And so much more. I feel so bad and ashamed and want to forget them, but they are the reason for my happiness. I am weak, sensitive to many things, a crybaby, and needlessly sensitive. I don't know if I can call it a good thing, but painting is the only thing that has kept me going. That's probably why I've been made to understand that I'm still alive. I think there are people who want to forget, hide, or flatten out the things they don't like, but those who have held on to the bumpy, swirling, and twisting things are even more beautiful. That too is strength and beauty. I believe that even if you forget or don't hide it, you can still smile and feel happiness. I want to keep expressing that.
