    Description

This is the first collage I made. It represents a recurring nightmare that I had when I was little and that then became a lucid dream. I dreamed that I was in a castle immersed in a disturbing atmosphere, I saw two people from behind who looked like my father and my mother, I called them and when they turned they showed me their face without nose, eyes and mouth. I woke up in the middle of the night in terror, until one day I managed to insert a happy ending: me flying away on a flying carpet. This collage then represents the power of the mind to fight fear.

(This is a print of the original artwork that is a manual paper collage).

  • About this artist

    Concept

I tear and cut magazines, old and new.
I almost exclusively select images in
black and white, and I often intervene on the work
    with acrylics and watercolors.
I put the pieces of paper together
    without thinking, and what materializes
before my eyes it's a surprise,
    for me too.
    It's something about my worldview,
the representation of the consciousness of the one
little girl who becomes a woman,
the comparison-clash with men, rebellion against toxic loves,
the reflection on the masculine part and the feminine one that constitute
    every human being,
and the power relations that rule our lives.
