Concept

My creative process can be compared to digging a well in my mind. While the well is still shallow, murky water comes out, but as I dig deeper, clean water gushes out. The murkiness may be like the ego. In the realm of the unconscious, various things change form and accumulate like strata, various events that occur in society, trivial events in daily life, and so on. I shed light on each and every one of them, give them the appropriate form, and visualize them. In a deeper realm, they are connected to something universal that transcends the individual. In my case, the technique and materials do not come first, but I search for the appropriate expression for what is born in my mind. Therefore, the materials and techniques change each time. It may be a painting, a photograph, a video, or an installation. When I dig deep into the heart, I hit the vein of the collective unconscious that transcends the individual. I create my works in the hope that one day I will reach the underground water vein that connects to your heart as well.  After studying psychological counseling, I came to believe that art is like a mirror that reflects the human mind. When we "see," we are not only looking with our "eyes," but also with our "brain. Each person's interpretation is added. The audience decides what to see and what to receive. Even if they see the same thing, there are 100 different ways to receive it. I believe that a work of art is not something that is complete in itself, but is created in the relationship between the audience and the work. I am merely creating a structure for the audience to interact with their own minds. People have the power to heal their own minds. People act in such a way as to realize the vision they have envisioned. I believe that the future is born from the heart. Art acts on the mind. I hope that audiences can support their hearts by having a deep dialogue with their own hearts.
