I used to imagine that everything is interconnected in the bandit world and that the act of photography is a product of this interconnectedness. However, the experience of spending the 600th day in a mountain lodge on Mt. I learned that this world is actually made up of all-encompassing, holistic relationships, including mutual relationships. Like shamanic phenomena, photography showed me a world beyond my own consciousness. It was in this context that the work "Dawn DAWN" was born. After that, I moved to the mountains of Yagatake in Nagano Prefecture and spent five years in Mongolia and nine years on Yakushima Island. I wanted to know the shape and structure of this world that I could see by keeping myself in the midst of nature. I also learned how we were living in a relative reality in an absolute world. The works "Planet PLANET" and "Nature JINEN" taught me this. As our own consciousness itself can make the world either dark or light, we may exist in its projection. It is always reflected as reality in the infinite, beyond time and space, truth and fiction. We are here now. And where is this place? We are living in an incredibly fantastic and magnificent world. Photography always leads us to it. With this expectation, my journey continues today. Yuu Yamauchi
