Concept

I am a Ukrainian professional painter, photo artist, decorator, and designer from the city of Kyiv. Now I live and work in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. My painting can be classified as a modern symbolism and fantastic realism. Many of my artworks have deep philosophical overtones. I like to play with meanings, reinterpret of ancient myths, and hide riddles in images. The process of creating one figurative painting can last more than a month because it requires the application of many layers. I also paint still lifes that have a surrealistic feel. Art is my life. I will create until my last breath.

Biography

Andrii Zhukov is a Ukrainian painter, monumental artist, photo artist, decorator, designer.
He was born in Kyiv in 1972. Graduated in Fine Arts at the Publishing and Printing Institute of NTUU 'Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute', 2006, prior to which he also studied Fine Arts in the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University.
Bachelor of Arts, 2004; Master's degree, 2006.
Main directions of creative activity are easel painting, metal artworks in mixed etching and chemical rusting technique, handmade pinhole photography, fresco, decorative art, sculptural art-objects (concrete), graphic art, and digital art.
Winner of The Odessa International Art Prize 2019.
Andrii's artworks are present in several private collections in Ukraine, Israel, Europe, and the USA.
The painting Ad Astra is in the collection of Chernivtsi Fine Arts Museum.
The artist took part in many co-exhibitions and art-projects.
