ANYO HIROTA, Sumi-e Artist of the Universe Born on March 26, 1981 in Osaka. Currently resides on Ishigaki Island. After working for many years in a family-run takoyaki restaurant, he became a cultural bridge through cooking, winning the Bib Gourmand Award from the Michelin Guide. After overcoming an illness, she moved on to sumi-e (ink painting) and discovered the joy of expressing her inner feelings through the delicate balance of sumi ink and paper.
