I used to have an image of rock as being very hard and solid.
But now I realize that it crumbles when subjected to a reasonable impact or load.
I now realize that it will crumble if it is subjected to a reasonable amount of impact and load.

The flow of water has the flexibility to change its shape in any way.
but at the same time, it is a very rigid aggregate.
but at the same time, it is a very hard aggregate
It flows through the land, chipping away at the rocks.

In this environment, we recognize the fragility of human beings
and understand that the earth is not absolute in the same way.
We can understand that the earth is not absolute.

In the flow of water
By placing a still stone in a subtle balance
we can show that it is an event or state of affairs that will not last forever.
It is an event or state of affairs that will not last forever.
In other words, my work represents "impermanence.

~About my work

I have heard that a picture or a photograph can be a window to a room.

The final form of my work is a photograph.

When I display it in my home or office
I can brighten up the atmosphere of a room or
I try to create works of art that will give you a sense of comfort and energy when you look at them during a break in your work.
I try to create such works.

There are no special places of interest or
I try to make my works as much as possible to capture people in their daily lives.
I want my works to fit in with people's daily lives as much as possible.
I want my works to fit in with people's daily lives as much as possible.

I want my works to fit in with people's daily lives.
By adding artwork of stones and water to a river or ocean scene
a story is born and begins to shine.

Try removing a stone from an image of a work of art.
What do you think?

It is beautiful in its own way, but there must be something
But there must be something that is felt by the presence of the stone.
The stone, the water, and the scene at that time
together make up a single work of art.

The work is created by paying attention to the scene that changes little by little without being noticed.
Sometimes, after the balance of the stones is established
I sometimes continue photographing in the river until it gets dark.

I try to create a positive image of nature in each of the four seasons.
I try to create a positive impression of nature in each of the four seasons.
Each piece has its own theme.

I see the lustrous beauty of a river flowing through a dark valley.
the dull fallen leaves have a mature austerity.
The colors of the dead trees in the sunlight give the work an air of elegance.

Every scene has its own "goodness" of the moment.
I add stones accordingly.
This is my role as an artist.

What is important is the work, and that people are moved by it.
I do not want to pile up the stones unnecessarily or use too many techniques.
I do not want to overload the stones used in my work, or use too much technology.
I do not want to lose the original "goodness" of my work.
As a professional artist
I am a professional artist, and this is one of the things I value most.

And I hope that you will display my works in your room.
I would be happy if you could display the pictures in your room.

It will surely bring you a pleasant breeze.

Stone and Water Artist Hiroshi Yoshida

Since 2010, he has been using rock balancing as a technique to create stone and water sculptures on the theme of "harmony with nature," which he captures in photographs and video.

He continues to work as a professional artist, and has established the world's only method of expression that creates a new flow of water by arranging stones. He does not use any glue in his work, but uses stones found in the area as they are. He uses stones on land because the eggs of aquatic organisms and algae live on underwater stones, and he breaks up the finished work so as not to disturb the landscape.

He is one of the longest-serving rock balancers in Japan and has participated in world rock balancing competitions in various countries.

He is also a Nikon Certified Professional Photographer (NPS member).
