For Carolina Andrada, canvases and screens are the walls that make up her own dreams. But they are not limiting walls, rather they are open to the imagination, to the landscape of dreams, to memory and to emotions. These supports acquire for her another physical and dreamlike dimension, as a child they allowed her to "go in and out" of it, and of the painting itself, and now also. As an adult, canvases, screens and forests continue to accompany Carolina in the same sense as when she was a child, only with new elements incorporated, they are part of she.

Her relationship with the forests has always been very close, but tales and legends have also had a profound influence on her way of perceiving the dream landscape.
Added to this she want to carry out an essay on the Philosophy of Landscape present in the History of Art since the seventeenth century, as the last genre and the most modern in painting. In this way Carolina have the possibility of "expanding" this idea of landscape, from deeper parameters that are beyond the limited territory of history that we know.
In addition to the inspiration in these parameters, the plastic strength that is already given by Canvas and Screen supports that she use helps her, and the references landscape work of historical and current artists, like Guardi, Poussin, Watteau, Markus Lüpertz, etc.

The latter has historically been used in a decorative and functional way, and her approach to painting is not linked to this flat idea of decorating or fitting the piece somewhere, but she use a support that helps her to structure the painting, which is integrates with the plastic, and instead of showing himself as another object, still and flat, he plays himself, with his split structure, and molds the painting creating infinite points of view.

It is one more vehicle in her search for artistic expression and manifestation, deconstructing the landscape as a motif. It is an express realism of the imaginary, a realism founded on the imaginary constitution, on the creative force of the gaze.
