Callie Harkins has spent much of her life creating art, she discovered acrylic painting ten years ago and fell in love. She has spent much time in recent years cultivating and growing that practice.

Callie Harkins has spent much of her life creating art, she discovered acrylic painting ten years ago and fell in love. She has spent much time in recent years cultivating and growing that practice.

A country girl at heart, Callie was born and raised on her family farm near Sylvan Lake, Alberta. Currently Callie lives rurally in central Alberta, with her husband, 3 children, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 horse and 1 miniature pony. She received a diploma in Animal Health Technology in 2016, and currently works part time in the field.

Callie has a great love of the outdoors and all things nature which transfers into her artwork. She never has to look far for ideas, drawing much inspiration from the views of the place she calls home. She loves to paint the Alberta prairies, mountains and skies with a splash of color to evoke the joy that they bring to her.

Callie believes strongly in community, and helping others, she donates a portion of each painting sold to different charities close to her heart.
