Concept

I work with acrylics on canvas and acrylic sheets. Acrylic paint willingness to be transformed, both in realism and Impressionism artwork, makes it a perfect medium for me.

My paintings do not follow one theme. However, the use of vivid colours is something monitored throughout my work.

Experiencing childhood in a media-arranged family, watching my father work his magic as a music producer I became passionate about Art Industry. Young girls my age discovered dolls, toys, and blankets enthralling. Unlike them, however, I generally discovered solace in colouring in my sketchbooks. Something about shading pencils and paints made me eager to explore hues and art more and more. This enthusiasm drove me to pick Fine arts in my O-Levels and A-Levels. Initially, I was nervous before using new mediums on a sheet. I was afraid of failing, of producing a less than amazing piece or work. I overcame this when my art teacher, Zainab Taj asked me to do whatever medium I understand on a big canvas and that she would not mark me for it. I tossed all the hues that I saw on a Landscape photograph and it ended up being a delightful piece. I displayed it at my craft exhibition in school as well. Another day, I got significantly more spurred. Marjorie Hussain, Pakistan's first art critic, came to my schools' art gallery display and wrote on my autograph book to never leave art and to explore more. And I promised myself I would not.

My enthusiasm for artworks motivated me to explore the art of films. Currently, I am studying BA Film Studies and Production at Queen’s University of Belfast, UK.
