    Description

A picturesque corner of the cityscape in the wonderful city of Lviv is made from nature.

Lviv is a charming city in the western part of Ukraine, which has a rich history and a unique architectural style.

The environment of Lviv can be described as picturesque and fabulous, and these impressions are conveyed in my watercolors.
In this city, majestic architectural structures of different eras have been preserved, starting from the ancient medieval style to the Baroque, Renaissance and Gothic.

Narrow cobbled streets, stucco facades, green parks and blooming gardens create an atmosphere of warmth and coziness.

The biggest symbol of Lviv is its historical center, which is included in the UNESCO world heritage list. Here you can find charming cafes, picturesque houses, cozy shops and picturesque squares with statues and fountains.

In my watercolor, I tried to convey that special color of Lviv, using pastel and warm shades that add romance and sophistication to the image. The described architecture of the city creates a feeling of being transported in time and place, and this gives the picture a special value.

My Lviv watercolor can be a great gift or decoration for any interior, especially for lovers of antiquity and the atmosphere of ancient times. It fascinates with its beauty and attractiveness, and will allow to preserve the unique atmosphere of picturesque Lviv in the heart of every viewer.

  • About this artist

    Concept

Before the start of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, I painted mostly nature and cityscapes while traveling in Ukraine and other countries.
But after February 24, 2022, the pain of the loss of Ukrainian people, soldiers and civilians, destroyed cities, the crippled fate of millions of people forced me to change the angle of vision and now for me the main motives are people, because this is the greatest value.

Although my dream of a round-the-world trip remains, it is subordinated to the theme of war. When I paint the nature of other countries, I think of the nature of Ukraine, which the russian aggressors mined. When I paint the cityscapes of other countries, I remember the completely or partially destroyed Ukrainian cities...When I paint people from other countries, I remember with tears in my eyes the tens of thousands of killed and wounded civilians, children and soldiers of Ukraine.
