Description

Daily turbulence in our modern life puts us in such a position that we live our life in full isolation and sometimes total abstraction. I intended to express this abstraction over lovely Bosporus in Istanbul. The artwork is mixed technic of watercolor and acrylic.

Concept

Her watercolor paintings are on paper and she usually starts out by pre-wetting. Her paintings can be defined as simple, intimate and away from beautification. They are neither strictly designed nor totally random. She express herself applying fine art techniques without disregarding surprises water brings naturally. Painting is a mysterious journey for her and it is a ways to lure the viewer into the water's magic. Colors dance with each other on all her works. She primarily focuses on flowers, sailing yachts and landscapes which often include distinctive or non-distinctive figures.
