    Description

    I felt that the sense of suffocation and floating in the water resembled the sense of insecurity and groundedness that we feel in our daily lives. By painting in a way that the materiality of the paint remains, I expressed the noise of everyday life, the muddiness of humanity, and a sense of reality.

    Concept

    The unfocused, exotropic eyes depicted in most of his works symbolize the insecurity of not being able to know even one second into the future. The distorted figures that have begun to appear in his recent works and the unrealistic use of color suggest the existence of filters based on stereotypes and prejudices that each of us has. I do not use models because I wish to depict human nature and instincts rather than specific individuals. I do not consider human beings as "humans" in particular, but rather as one species among many "animals". By doing so, I hope that the viewer will feel empathy as a fellow creature, and love in the human smell.

    • If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
