The Corona pandemic that has engulfed the world in a whirlwind of anxiety has drastically changed our daily lives. In the spring of 2021, the Louvre Museum will open its collection of 482,000 works to the public online for free, at a time when online viewing of artworks is increasing. The site allows visitors to view not only images of the works but also summaries of them, which is very useful now that overseas travel is no longer possible, but at the same time, we are beginning to feel a disconnect from the real world as the expansion of the online world accelerates. This work uses digitally archived works that can be enjoyed digitally through the Louvre Museum's online publication. The work is an attempt to visually experience the discrepancy between the archive and reality by using pixelated expressions such as iron beads to emphasize the perception of the images on the monitor and relocate them in the real world.
