    Description

    Inugoya Tsubaki (Camellia japonica) A neighbor's garden. In the shadow of a fence, there is a large, dilapidated dog house with a camellia planted beside it. It is a somewhat shady spot in a position that doesn't seem to attract much attention, but I thought it interesting that the camellia flowers looked as gaudy as if they were lighting up a baseball stadium. Flowers on a sunny day are beautiful, but I thought they were even more beautiful in the shade of the sunset, as they lit up with fluorescent colors.

    Facing a blank canvas or paper, when something comes to mind that I want to paint, I create a painting with an honest image of it. All paints look like delicious cream. I love the process of applying it in a combination of colors and flaking it on. Everyone has a lot of mental extracts. Of course I do. I am uneducated about art, but perhaps I paint for the pleasure of the moment when something I pull out of the drawer suddenly resonates with something in some of the people who view my paintings.
