    Description

Experience the beauty and boundless creativity of “Ocean of Illusions”, an acrylic ocean landscape featuring an intricate weaving of colors and textures. I use knitting yarn different thicknesses and quality to make more strongly kinesthetic and light -and-shadow effect. The fact that some of the yarns glow in ultraviolet light adds a special twist. This unique piece is both aesthetically pleasing and thought provoking, inviting viewers to contemplate the nature of our universe. This middle size painting will provide you wit h a powerful glimpse into the often invisible fluctuations in reality, illustrating how nothing - not even time or space - is ever truly constant. Canvas is stretched on a wooden stretcher and framed on all sides. in this way the painting is ready to be hung immediately after receiving. it is perfect for small spaces of both light and dark colors.

  • About this artist

    Concept

    Artist statement
Polychrome. Poly (polu-) - many, everything. Chrome (khrōma-) - tone, colour. CONTRAST of COLOUR and SATURATION is the horse that carries me galloping through the whirlwinds of my emotions. Contrast is a prism through which I try to discern my perception of the world and the way the world treats me. I'm constantly driven by the desire to get to the root of certain experiences, whether they are my own or those of the environment in which I live.
Wild dances of vibrant colours and freeform shapes are my way of putting together my worldview, my manner of thinking and discerning, exploring and containing feelings.
The texture of my paintings appeals to the viewer's sensorics. It's like it's whispering - touch me…
I achieve a synergy of polychrome explosions and textured shadow dances by using acrylic paints. They are as loud and impetuous in their fast-drying technique as my rollercoaster-like mindset. Bold palette knife strokes, multi-coloured bright remnants of old dried paint, scraps of thread, styrofoam pieces are implanted in my works as blobs of emotional reactions in the seamless storyline of my life.

    Method
Nadiya uses acrylic paints usually, but sometimes she add different upcycling materials to get more interesting surface effects. Nadiya prefers several styles in painting. Sometimes it is a long sometimes-architectural working process under composition and color solutions; sometimes it’s more expressive subconscious painting. However, every time the bright rainbow colors are Nadiyas visit card. Nadiya prefers to call her style it abstract expressive surrealism.
