Description

This piece was inspired by the natural her movement; more like it triggered food for thought. I met a girl who really liked my hair(was in a curly fro) and she said something about her not going natural unless she had curls in her hair which she didn't (4c hair) I told her she didn't need curls to be natural, if she's interested in being natural. And then I started seeing the strange narrative that "good" natural hair is only a specific hair texture or pattern or length. Natural is who your are, whatever that looks like.

The technique used here is line art because I wanted to capture my thoughts with minimalism.

What the painting in particular means to me is self love. I love my fro and I wouldn't be me without it. And I hope other fro girls see themselves in this piece with a smile despite their curl pattern and texture or length.

What this piece means for my artistic journey is the exploration of abstract minimalism expression and allowing my audience to interpret my work into

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
