In crafting this piece, I poured my soul into the interplay of light and shadow, using acrylics and sprays to evoke the unseen vibrancy that surrounds us. My expressionist approach breathes life into the canvas, inviting viewers to ponder the unobservable energy of our world. The result is a dance of colour and form—a semi-abstract celebration of existence that infuses any space with a spark of wonder and philosophical depth.
The original image for this painting was taken during a photoshoot in Mataranka, Bitter Springs, in the Northern Territory. I was taken with the beautiful reflections of my model stretching out just underneath the water - reflecting the white dress. I have named it after Anthony Doer's poetically written novel "All the Light We Cannot See". I am always looking for positive motives to uplift and enrich women's lives - encouraging them to live braver and more fulfilled lives.

Concept

I’m interested in strong beautiful resilient women. These strong beautiful resilient women can be seen in my current body of work - standing in, emerging from, or swimming through, water. For me the most amazing thing about being underwater is that the rest of the world disappears for a while. There are no distractions or stress - just quietness.
The light is filtered and flickering, and beautiful reflections are created. The whole scene is blanketed in this cool, flowing, bubbly sensation. My models hair and clothing move with the water while they are suspended in the water - floating in a nurturing, freeing, and healing space. I like to give my viewers a sense of a magical but uplifted world.
On my personal journey this is a place where I want to be.
