Black Birds

Can you hear the singing and playfulness of the Black Bird? It’s movement in the marking, the immediacy and strength of the line? My love of a line and its movement through thick and thin markings made this artwork very enjoyable to create. As I worked on this painting, I felt it needed a powerful spontaneous movement in the marking and a textual feel to the surface. I kept the colors very simple and graphic with a punch of brightness for drama.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
