You know the feeling of being alone on the road and lost in thought?
But suddenly you realize that strange creatures are following you and watching you silently. You look around and see only withered leaves waving on gnarled, rooted branches. Encounters in nature. Female figures, limbs, bodies and fantastic creatures emerge in passing from roots, embankments, tree trunks or carcasses, old pipes and garbage. In combination with personal moods and absorbed atmospheric impressions, they find their own formal language in the picture. By repeatedly sanding the surface of the picture, I show the viewer a past that is similar to the drawings on the walls of old buildings or caves. On this 'weathered ground' I apply motifs from my observations of nature, the human and animal world using ink and art pen.
