Description

This floral cat is the second piece in a series of three everyday cats.

It was created during spring time, using floral motifs to form the shape of a cat. In this piece the cat is posed licking his paw, to self clean after having a delicious meal. He is enjoying a simple everyday act in a playful way.

The floral motifs where originally hand drawn and then digitised to use as elements to combine in a digital collage. I like to combine my analogue works with digital processes to celebrate our modern times and bring warmth of my hand created works to my digital art pieces.

This is the smallest size collectors edition at 11x14", with my printed signature and edition number on the front.

I'm naturally drawn to exploring and celebrating the things that bring joy, delight, and peace through my art. I find inspiration in nature, Buddhist and Zen philosophy, and the small pockets of joy in modern life.

Does this art work need a frame?

In many cases, art works with a canvas stretched over a wooden frame can be displayed as is. Thin art works other than canvases are easier to frame. For any questions or concerns please chat us.

What kind of hardware should I use for hanging the artwork?

If you are concerned about repayment costs, such as when renting a house, wall pins and hooks that do not leave noticeable hole marks are available at major DIY Store and art supply stores.

If you want to hang a canvas with a hook, a hook type with a long hooking surface, such as a V-shaped type is recommended.

If there is a string on the back of the canvas or the back of the frame, you can hang it with a pin type that has a short hooking surface.
