All of his photographs are based on the stoicism and simple concepts of the Japanese tradition of Zen, and many of his works are simple, with few colors or components. In addition, there are few Japanese-style works that could be described as Buddhist, and most of his works deal with scenes of the city and contemporary society, capturing the light and shadows coming through buildings.
In particular, he has created many works that question "the way of life" and "the state of mind," based on the concept of Zen as it is captured in reality rather than fantasy as seen from the perspective of a Zen monk.
