Gravitating towards birth and rebirth, to beauty and decay, my artworks are a manifestation of imagination channeling the contradictions between light and darkness, fantasy and reality, life and death, our primal fears and dreams. I create worlds that I want to live in and use self-portraiture as a mode of transportation to another time and place. I like to explore the blurry line between fantasy and reality, and place myself within environments I wish to explore, where fantastic realities are captured, secrets are exposed, impossibilities are tested, and life itself is questioned.

Coming from a lifetime-long background of fashion design, I use dresses that I make myself, fabrics and whimsical visuals to composite surreal images within dreamy, painterly nature settings that feature scenes filled with rich color and elegant flowing female forms.
Each image is carefully planned and crafted through imagination, pen and paper before any shoot. The process of creation starts in the mind, and the camera and the computer become accessories to turn reality into fantasy. The editing process takes it from a world seen to a world created. Photoshop is my canvas and it's digital brushes the unconventional mediums I use to paint my imaginary worlds.
I like to add textures into my photographs, I believe they bring life, drama, vibrance and dimensionality to images. My intention is to direct the eye of the viewer to the center of interest in the image. The subject is strengthened as a result and contrasts in tone and color with the background.
