"Layla ROUGAN " Painter of Lyrical Abstraction A childhood between Ohio, North Carolina, Occitania, Provence and now Anjou... but always with her artist parents. A painter father and artistic guide for Layla, a paternal grandfather gallery owner and art restorer, a mother and a stepfather puppeteers... The school of Fine Arts comes to structure Layla's propensities to become an artist. Then the influence, besides her father, Layla admires ZAO Wou-Ki and Hans HARTUNG, Picasso, Salvador Dali and many other masters. Encouraged by her father Layla very early began, according to her artistic fiber, to oscillate between pencils and brushes.
Layla now presents her works in galleries, in Switzerland, Germany as well as in Anjou and on the Atlantic Coast and in art fairs all over France. And very recently she exported herself to Japan in Tokyo. Colorist in the soul Layla ROUGAN first turned to dry pastel then to mediums such as oil. She realizes works full of emotions, she works the transparency and the color in her research of the light and the tonality of the colors to then create an unusual palette of colors. Inscribing herself irrevocably in the process of pictorial research Layla projects herself in the lyric abstraction. Then new colors impose themselves, the recourse to the matter gives to its works a third dimension all that tends towards the emotion, towards the vibration which receives the observer of these sublime fabrics. Layla paints with her heart, beyond the techniques it is the emotion that the creation brings that will allow a work to create the vibration that will touch the public. To paint, to create, to vibrate to the rhythm of her passion is an absolute necessity for Layla.
If you feel this emotion in front of a work of Layla, you feel all the love that she has transmitted, through her brush, to the canvas on which with a light and precise hand she has deposited materials and colors.
