As an artist I am inspired by nature, aged furniture and medieval architecture of Europe, some textures or characters, that I see during my travels. And when it comes to the canvas - the painting process itself is what drives me. I let it guide me and not have a strict plan in mind. That is why I love abstract so much. For me - it is like live jazz improvisation. There are certain rules, within which there are thousands of possibilities. It is exciting!

My works are uneven and, in some way, imperfect, may seem unfinished sometimes. I believe it gives the feeling of energy, touch of a real person to it. ‘Mistakes’, unplanned drips and running paints - they give directions during painting process for me. Inspiration comes during work. Pop of color, long drips and rough texture - what you would see on my paintings. In every piece I try to do something new and challenge myself. I also do extensive color theory study, to make my works deeper and stand out.

My admiration of art began with Van Gogh, then followed by other artists of that period. Now my biggest inspiration comes from Claude Monet, Picasso and Chaim Soutine.

My artistic styles are abstract and sketching. I feel that these two directions keep my artist development balanced and unique.
