At the moment I find inspiration in nature and the human figure. My concerns are varied to express. I am very moved by light and expressions with colour. All my painting is realistic and figurative, in the work I introduce elements related to nature in which colour is mixed with form in an intentional way that sometimes moves away from pure realism. In my latest series I use oil as a medium, whereas in my first period I only used acrylic. It is a medium that allows me more creative freedom and allows me to achieve evolutions in my work. They are layers upon layers that sometimes intermingle and blur. There is a lot of palette. I work with all kinds of formats. From the smallest to sizes of 130x 160 cm approximately. I was born in Bilbao, Spain in 1962, where I live now. I have a degree in Fine Arts with a long exhibition career. I have work in private collections in many countries around the world and I have been finalist in several painting competitions with some prizes. I do a lot of field work photographing what interests me. I travel through everyday environments and nature chasing images that inspire me. My models are ordinary people who appear in the work as a central element when I depict the human figure. I am inspired by many artists both classical and contemporary. I like to admire works of art every day of my life, specifically paintings. All my works are original and unique pieces.
