Going Under represents a sign of our troubled times. Drowning in our responsibilities to life, work, family, friends etc when all we really want is to curl up with a good book and escape.

Australian based photographer Louise Smith has spent the last few years honing her skills in photo artistry. Taking photography further has been an ongoing learning experience after her interest was piqued after coming across a course promoted by Sebastian Michaels titled Photoshop Artistry. Using photos, textures and other elements to create an image otherwise not in existence before is something that thrills and inspires her no end.
Louise gains her inspiration from old master paintings, travelling to interesting places, nature and the everyday world around us.
Louise was humbled and delighted to be selected as the featured artist in the internationally recognised, 61st edition of Living the Photo Artistic Life Magazine (March 2020) which featured her image ‘Going Under”on the cover.
Her image ‘Going Under” was also selected in the top 10 winning entries as part of the Australian Photography Magazine’s, Australian Photographer of the Year 2020/Creative Section.
She is currently on a continuous journey of exploration and discovery within the digital photo artistry world.
