Estevam Ribeiro Works on two different médiuns, paintings and lithographies. His paintings are what he calls soul landscapes, and these are mainly on the subject of his city, Rio de Janeiro, mountains and sea shores. Some are bird views, as he worked for many years as an airline crew member, and some at land level, but all of them are inner impressions of his love for this special place on earth. Besides being a fine artist, he has being a Taijiquan teacher and a Yi Jing, book of Changes student, so in his second medium, traditional stone lithography, he works on his personal research illustrating the hexagrams of this book. Strongly influenced by Chinese culture, specially the Shan Shui Landscape style, and the Japanese Sumi-E style.
