Oluwatimilehin Oni otherwise known as Timi light, is a contemporary visual artist, dancer and a singer. The moniker is metaphorically speaking the guiding light of his creative life. Timi works and base in IB city, Nigeria. Timi had always had a thing for drawing the things he noticed around him as a child. This penchant gradually resolved itself into the production of childish comics which he sold to his classmates.
Being a dancer and a singer, yet the visual arts remains his strongest means of self_expression. From passion it progressed to his studying at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile_Ife where he has since graduated with a degree in fine & applied arts. From personal/life experiences and happenings in his community Timi draws his inspiration, depicting ups and downs of life through most of his distorted, yet full of hope and colourful images, basically insinuating a saying "Broken but not damaged ". Timi also focuses on the beauty, strength and resiliency of the black body and soul. He seeks to engage his viewers imaginative strength by placing most of his distorted human figures in a way that one will have to complete the omitted part in their head.
Timi as participated in a number of local art Exhibitions and competitions, he was also featured in 2019 on the art & review page of the 'THISDAY NEWS
