Concept

What do I photograph? People. Things. Moments. Always looking for that special moment that tells the story in one frame. Life writes the most interesting stories, especially when we don't expect them. The architecture of the moment paired with the aesthetics of the situation. Capturing such unique, unpredictable moments with the camera is my aim. I love to take spontaneous photos. Situational. Documentary. Hence my soft spot for street photography. You never know what's going to happen. To adjust to the situation or to react to it, even if one is not adjusted to it, that is the challenge.

Biography

My grandfather built lenses for ZEISS, my mother worked as a photo laboratorian. So the photography was a kind of put into my cradle.

Before starting to work as a photographer 2005 I became an educated journalist and had been working 12 years as an editor & producer for a big european tv station (RTL).

Photography and videography for me is about moments, moods and atmospheres. I love to shoot documentary in a minimalistic and cinematic style while being part of real situations. Authentic moments are resulting in authentic pictures.

Beside making photos I'm a photo trainer for THE PHOTO ADACEMY (Paris) in Cologne.
