Ellie Shusen's works are based on her outstanding talent for calligraphy, and the delicacy of her brush strokes, strokes, and angles of entry are utilized in the lines of her paintings. In addition, by making full use of meticulously calculated margins and compositions, she asks the viewer questions and searches for gaps and clues to think about, which seems to gain sympathy from the viewer.

Biography

At the age of seven, she joined Shokai-sha and began to study calligraphy, and at the age of 16, she was awarded the Yomiuri Shimbun Award, the Saitama Prefecture Superintendent of Education Award, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Governor's Award at the National Calligraphy Central Exhibition of the Japa...
At the age of seven, she joined Shokai-sha and began to study calligraphy, and at the age of 16, she was awarded the Yomiuri Shimbun Award, the Saitama Prefecture Superintendent of Education Award, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Governor's Award at the National Calligraphy Central Exhibition of the Japanese Calligraphy Association. After graduating from junior college, he obtained a master's degree from the Calligraphy Institute. She has received many awards from the general public, including a second prize at the 50th Koyasan Calligraphy Competition and a special prize at the Sankei International Calligraphy Exhibition. His ink painting won the Jury Encouragement Prize at the Nippon-Biten. In March 2020, he held his first exhibition of his works, "Tokushin Exhibition," at the Ginza No. 7 Building Gallery. The following year, in October 2021, he held his solo exhibition "Jisai Exhibition" at the same gallery. At present, he is the leader of the calligraphy studio "Fudoshukai" and teaches calligraphy while working on his creative activities.
