私は幼少期を、厳粛で静かで、時には天候不順な白海沿いの北部の小さな町で過ごしました。シンプルで饒舌なフォルムと控えめでミニマルな色彩関係への愛情は私の作品に表れ、見る人との会話を促進する土台となっています。自然や花のモチーフ、風景が私の作品のテーマです。草や木に触れたとき、あるいは野原や海の水平線、裏山に広がる果てしない広がりを観察したときに感じる興奮を、キャンバスに表現することが制作の主な目的である。

私のインスピレーションは、身近な自然です。私は都会に住んでいて、周りの大量の情報の喧騒にとても疲れています。自然の中に身を置くと、穏やかな気持ちになり、落ち着いて、空と大地だけを見渡すことができるのがいい。それは私にインスピレーションを与え、生きる力、創造する力を与えてくれます。そして、私はそれを写真に収め、他の人と共有したいと思うのです。
