GREEN LAKE ICE
fascinated by self contained lonely lakes, I like to draw and paint them in all seasons. I attempt, through the use of my media, and methods to convey the process of the ice freezing, melting, contracting and expanding, and forming unusual shapes which frame the grasses and heather trapped inside it.
This is an original painting, part of an on-going series depicting freezing and thawing processes in the landscape
The painting is a watercolour and ink piece, on size A3 heavy archival quality handmade watercolour paper.
The watercolour painting is unframed on heavy weight archival matte paper and is sold unframed and without a matte surround.
